I haven't updated in a really long time, but now that I'm on my ass recovering from a hard night of partying, I can safely say that it's time I wrote a new entry.

I officially applied to 2 new schools for next year, SCAD-Atlanta and FIT both for Fashion Design. I desperately want to go to SCAD, but FIT has serious perks. We'll see where I end up, but it's pretty much decided in my mind that I'll be moving for the summer to work down south. I need to leave this part of the country and start new for a bit, there have been way too many bad memories up here that I need to run away from for a bit. I want to be in a new city and learn something all over again. <3

I'll keep you updated on what happens next, we'll see where the winds will blow me in this crazy thing they call life.

On the other end of the spectrum, I am so happy with life outside school. I am hopelessly in love with someone so wonderful, and he feels the same. I'm so used to losing out on things, but for once I am on the top of the world. He comes back to visit in only 18 days, thank god, it's way too hard being so damn far away!

I hope everyone out there is happy and healthy, I know I am, and I wish the same to all of my friends.

I'm excited for the summer, lots of fun, conventions, friends and laughs. I want everyone to be a part of it. <3

Hey there! I know it's a long shot, but, I was wondering if anyone was selling the SMALL size of Bunny Bear Bag by BABY. I was going to see if there was one at NYAF, but it looks like I won't be able to attend this year, and if I were to attend, it would only be for Sunday, and everything would probably sell out at the boutique.

I just recently bought a beautiful Angelic Pretty skirt in blue/sax gingham and a pair of Innocent World socks to match.

So, with that said, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to trade with me for the skirt and socks together or separately!? The skirt retails at 158,00 Yen and the socks at 30,00 Yen.

I want to TRADE this. I bought it to build up my wardrobe, and I want to trade with someone who feels the same way maybe about a piece that they own currently as well. <333

The Otakon Report. It's long, but oh so worth it!

So, Otakon came and went just as it does every year. So let's start from the very beginning shall we? Now gather round for story time! (NO CUTS! I like spamming your flists. Muahahahaahhhh.)

Wednesday, Jennie and I packed up the car and took our yearly pilgrimage to Baltimore, Maryland for the first time in a year. The car was packed FULL of cosplay and merchandise for the table and we were ready to go... But no! The car shit itself and the power steering belt needed to be tightened. Of course, things are never that easy. So, we had to wait... and wait... for the belt to be fixed. And finally, we were off!

After getting to Delaware, we decided to switch off. While we were inside, some fellow Otakon goers posted "We'll see you there!" and "Cosplay Rules!" in their car! (We had Otakon or Bust written on mine the whole way down!) We then arrived at our friend Hobbles and Yuki's house to stay for the weekend. We settled in, made some new friends and finished up last minute cosplay stuffs.

On Thursday, we of course stood int he huge line for our Pre-Reg badges where we then reunited with our dear friend Kitty (misaokitty) and her lovely other half Don. I hadn't seen them in a year, and I was so happy! That night Kitty and I met up again for some fun in her room with Jennie and the lovely people staying in her room. They were so funny and I was glad to meet them, I also was able to meet Limebarb in person too! After finishing up our Burst Angle cosplays, we did a totally awesome photoset with Chris of Ronin Photography in our Burst Angel Infinity OVA cosplay. They were HAWT. Tight pants are TIGHT, was one of the favorite quotes of the evening. Haha. Photos will be up to share with you shortly!!! I can't wait to see them. Thank you so much to Don and Jennie for putting up with Kitty and I taking photos, I LUFF YOU GUYS.

Friday was the busiest day BY FAR. We were running from one place to another, setting up the table, getting into Trinity Blood, signing up for the contest etc... But, at the table, business was BOOMING! Everyone was so impressed with our product and we were so happy! Lolitas from everywhere were so excited to see sweets jewelery at Otakon that year! My feet were killing me from running around so much that day in my heels for Esther. Jennie and I SUFFER in those shoes. New ones for next year? Yes... Yes indeed. The Hall Cosplay Contest went good. Although the judges were, uh, pressured let me say? I think we made a very good impression on them. They really loved our work. <3 By the end of the day in the Dealer's Room we had to take our shoes off. So, we walked in our tights around the con and in Baltimore to give our feet a rest, and STILL people took pictures of us. We honestly can't do jack shit in those outfits without being mobbed every 2 minutes. It's really annoying sometimes, but, it also feels good in a sense too... I was able to see some people I hadn't seen in so long either! I was SO HAPPY that saankyu caught me in the hallway! (I was so pumped that we were actually able to talk in person and I forgot how cool you were. You and your boyfriend are ADORABLE. <3 Tell him he was the best Joker we saw all weekend! Next con time, we should party up. I honestly think that we would have a BLAST. xD) Oh, and we also got an interview with the Anime News Network too!

So, later on Friday, we changed into Steampunk and had some fun. Not gonna lie. WE LOOKED FUCKING HOT. After seeing so many kids in Steampunk throughout the day, it made me wish that my ATL crew could have been there too. :( Pictures of Steampunk will be up on my Deviant art really soon! (www.helenatears.deviantart.com) We stayed at Artist's Alley late into the night. <333

Saturday was the day that got us most nervous. Our first Masquerade appearance EVER. We had a walk on that night for the Hall cosplay and we were a bit anxious. We got into card captors in the morning, yes, I was painted blue... Haha. After spending the morning blue, we took some pics in CCS and then changed back into TB AGAIN. Yesh. SO much fun. Masq. time was close!

When evening time came, Jennie and I headed toward the fountains in back of the Verizon building because our two photographer friends Tim and Yui wanted to do a TB shoot with us. I was also able to spot Joe, one of the ATL Outlander friends there too and I told him that him and his girlfriend/friend? looked great in Steampunk, she was an adorable Steampunk loli, reminded me so much of the anime Last Exile, and it's my fave. <333 They were both super nice and we chatted for a bit. I told him to give all the others back in GA my love and tell them that I miss them VERY much. He said that he was going to kick them all when he got back because everyone ignored the new weapons policy anyways. Haha, yay Joe! We then headed to the arena for the Masq. The place was MASSIVE. I was blown away. When Jennie and I arrived, we saw some of the best cosplay EVER. We felt out of our league to say the least. xD We met a really nice Seth cosplayer and we also met a girl named Tamara whose Ryuk cosplay from Death Note was SO FUCKING AMAZING that I couldn't even stand it. She was so nice too! We got seated for the masq. and all the skits started... They were good, and them bad... really really bad... But the MC. OH, the MC. I can't explain to you how hot this guy was. SO HAWT. Me and Jennie were practically drooling the whole time. My god. This kid looked like the guy who played the Scarecrow in the new Batman movies... AND THAT'S REALLY HOT. John Locke I think his name was? Oh man, I CANNOT wait for the video of the masq. to be up just so we can watch him again. Haha. Well, after the walk-on (I think we looked fab. Jennie was a but stunned though I think!) We met umister, and we were so FUCKING PUMPED. She is so sweet and really nice too. I think we overwhelmed her with our priase as we aspire to compete in WCS someday too! She took a pic with us and we chatted for a while about WCS, cosplay and other things in the cosplay world, we hope to see her again very soon! <333

So, we didn't win anything at the competition, but we were beaten by some amazing people! Not a maid like at Katsucon... UGH. Fuck that. But one of the judges came up to me after on the street and gave me a hug. She told me that we were fabulous, to keep competeing and that we were two of her favorites that she saw. She was a sweetheart!

Sunday was our last day. We sold more and bought plenty. >.< I especially raided the Angelic Pretty booth in the dealer's room for new lolita gear! Yay! We dressed in our lolita best and also decided to leave that night instead of the next day. We really needed to get home I think. A real bed and good food cooked by my mom would do us good. <3

So we left the BCC after saying our goodbyes at around 3:30 PM. And then... We got lost. What a surprise. We got on to the highway by accident trying to find our friends house and got lost outside Baltimore. YAY. (mistake of the day Number 1.) After finding our way back, everyone helped us to load the car up again and then we were REALLY off this time!

But then... *le sigh* alas, we got stuck in a GIANT hail storm. Jennie's fave line was... "The rain is starting to let up!..." Them it started to HAIL and downpour. Haha. By the time we got to NJ, my car shit itself again. It started to sputter and vibrate. So we pulled off got some food, (still in full lolita...) and checked out the car. We had no idea what was wrong, nor do we have ANY knowledge of cars... So, I whipped out my handy dandy phone book and called up my only guy friend who I would trust with such an issue, Craig. He's the only one I know with any knowledge of cars, so he was the first person I turned to. He laughed at us though while asking me questions about my car, while my responses like, "the little radiator looking thingy" didn't help much... But he came to a decision telling me that we had to just keep going and he didn't think my car was going to blow up anytime soon. And the sweetheart that he is, he would always text periodically to make sure that we were making our way home safe. <3 We got lost again though. All the signs for CT dropped off the face of the earth half way through NY and we ended up in the catskill mountains. Yeah. I did break down in tears, not gonna lie.

We all know that I am unlucky, haha. Really, I am. xD

But we got home safe and sound to our warm beds at my place in little Torrington, CT, I had never been so happy to see it!

We had a busy weekend and we'll have an even busier year ahead. We hop to attend Ax and Otakon next year and keep up our Artist Alley table. <333

Although I have less people to miss, I miss others that couldn't make it this year even more.
